From 1300 to 3500 meters of altitude. The wide variety of trails available adapts to the needs of all enthusiasts: for those who simply love walking, for the careful hiker, for the most demanding mountaineer. Along sunny routes and walks through the fir and larch forests you can reach the most famous peaks of Bardonecchia and the Alta Val di Susa: the Red Spire, the Val Fredda, the Tre Croci, the Sommeiller glacier, Mount Tabor and the peaks of Pierre Menue. The rocky ridges surrounding the basin are a real challenge for mountaineers and represent an attraction that brings together crowds of sportsmen for at least two centuries. In the hamlet of Melezet there is also the via ferrata of the Rouas: a very beautiful via ferrata on limestone where three different routes develop with different travel times and difficulty levels. For lovers of climbing, the Olympic mountains of Bardonecchia offer the best walls and scenery to practice free-climbing immersed in nature. Several equipped walls are available, among which the most famous is the Militia Wall located near Valle Stretta.

For the more adventurous, we propose the Bardonecchia Adventure Park: an acrobatic park created through the installation of cables, wooden aerial platforms and ropes, which make it possible to safely take a walk "at high altitude" among the trees. And finally, the Bardonecchia Bike Park is a real paradise for bikers who can try their hand at numerous disciplines such as mountain biking, downhill, free ride and cross country. There is also a Junior Park at Pian del Sole for children.

[26] The first facilities were built starting from Campo Smith on the slopes of the Colomion which was followed, in the immediate post-war period, by the single-seat chairlift Bardonecchia-Fregiusia, on the slopes of the Jafferau and then the facilities at Melezet and those at Les Arnauds ...

The Colomion-Les Arnauds and the Melezet ski areas are characterized by wide and mostly forested slopes and, starting from the center of the village (Campo Smith, just over 1330 meters above sea level), they reach the vast plateaus of the Vallon Cros in 2400 meters of altitude. Just 5 minutes from the town center, thanks to the free shuttle, you can reach the Jafferau area, which reaches a peak of 2800 meters in height.
